Why Video?

There are now so many ways a video can be shown and used.  No longer is there a big chunky VHS, now we all use DVDs that fit into envelopes and slide into everyone’s computers.  With connection speeds getting higher and higher, streaming your video to your website is routine, even Yahoo! has an entire section of videos.  You can have your marketing video on a laptop for presentations and very soon we may all carry cell phones with video on them.  You should take advantage of that.

Looking at our website.  I hope that you like what you see and that you think that our quality is great – so how do we do that? Actually, we are a bit old school and are using well-trained staff for the different types of work that a great product demands. When we shoot your video production we show up with real camera guys that have done it before and with a lot of experience (not from weddings or other semi-pro productions.)  And our editors are trained and experienced and as the editor was in the old days when they could tell a story and not just covering the production up in all kind of confusing special effects for the lack of ability to make a nice flowing story. There’s nothing wrong with effects if they have a purpose and are forwarding the understanding of the messages.

Does it cost more? It depends what you compare us with.  If you compare us with the bright guy from the shipping department that just bought a nice video camera then yes – but if you compare us with already established video production companies, then not.

The digital age is running fast and I completely understand that it is difficult to keep up to date about the different possibilities.  We think that it is the duty of the production company to do that and you, as a client, fully should be able to trust that the best solution is presented – not based on what kind of equipment we have invested in but what is the right tool for your needs and budget.

At Seven Pictures we have quality control. Seven Pictures is a full service production company and we are also using many freelance people and have a huge traffic of rental equipment for different needs when required.  One thing that we do not hire is the executive producer – he is the same and because of the size of our company he is capable of overseeing all productions and secures that the quality and service is equal to (or better) than what we promise.
